You also want a yard that is large so if your parent were to get out the door they would not have immediate access to the street. This would give you more time to get to them.

A home with large bedrooms would be beneficial. This is because you may have to move a hospital bed into your parent's bedroom at a later date, and these beds can take up a lot of space.

Once you decide on the type of home you want, you need to hire a real estate agent or a real estate broker to help you find a home. No matter if you hire an agent or a broker, they will be licensed to sell real estate and both can help you find a home.

Real estate brokers may have more education when compared to an agent. For example, many brokers have a four-year degree and have completed college-level real estate classes. Depending on the state that you live in, the broker may be required to take a certain number of real estate classes in college before they can take their real estate broker exam to get their license.
